How our AI football predictions work

TipLocked builds a data brief for every fixture before kickoff: league position, the last five results, head-to-head record, and per-game averages from each team's recent matches — goals scored and conceded, expected goals (xG), corners, cards, shots on target and fouls.

An AI model reads that brief and estimates calibrated probabilities across several markets with fixed lines: match result and double chance, over/under 2.5 goals, both teams to score, over/under 4.5 yellow cards, over/under 9.5 corners and over/under 24.5 total shots. The single outcome it is most sure of becomes the match tip. Thin data pulls the numbers back toward long-run football averages instead of guessing.

Each prediction is saved once, before the match starts, and never edited. After full time we record whether the tip was right, and every result goes into our public track record.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the AI football predictions?

Every settled pick is published on the Results page, day by day, with wins in green and losses in red. No football model is right every time; the aim is well-calibrated probabilities, so a 60% pick should win about six times in ten.

What does the AI tip mean?

It is the single outcome the AI is most sure of for that match — for example 1 (home win), X (draw), 2 (away win), 1X/X2/12 (double chance), Over/Under 2.5 goals, BTTS Yes/No, or Over/Under lines for yellow cards (4.5), corners (9.5) and total shots (24.5). The percentage next to it is the AI's estimated probability. If nothing is above 50%, the match shows Skip instead.

What statistics does the AI use?

League table position, the last five results, head-to-head history, and per-game averages from each team's last five matches: goals, xG, corners, yellow and red cards, shots on target and fouls.

When are predictions published?

Predictions are generated before kickoff for fixtures up to a week ahead. Once a match starts, no new prediction is made for it, and existing ones are never changed.
